Analysis of Risk Factors and Nursing Strategy for Nosocomial Infection in Cardiovascular ICU Patients

To investigate the risk factors of nosocomial infection in intensive care unit(ICU) of cardiovascular internal medicine department and to institute effective control measures for reducing the occurrence of nosocomial infection(NI). Methods The risk factors of nosocomial infection among hospitalized patients in cardiovascular internal medicine department in our hospital were analyzed with prospective surveillance and retrospective investigation and analysis.Results The top three NI sites were lower respiratory tract(43.04%),upper respiratory tract(19.41%),and uninary tract(15.19%).The top three pathogens in nosocomial infection were Pseudomonas aeruginosa(18.24%),Escherichia coli(17.61%), and Staphylococcus epidermidis(13.84%).As to bacterial distribution,Gram-negative bacilli were predominant,accounting for 59.75%,among them Pseudomonas aeruginosa was the leading pathogen.Conclusion The respiratory infection is frequent among cardiovascular nosocomil infection in our hospital.We should shorten the duration of patients'staying in ICU,control invasive procedure,use antimicrobial agents rationally and strengthen medical nursing.
