Studies on Genome Group Characteristics of Cytoplasmic Polyhedrosis Virus of Homona Maganima Diaknoff

The Cytoplasmic Polyhedrosis Virus of Homona maganima is an insect re- ovirus.Its genome was extracted from the purified polyhedra of CPV with hot—phenol method and the unwinding temperature value(T_m)is 79℃,which indicated that the genome was double stranded RNA.10 bands were resolved when the viral genome was run in 3% polyacrylamide gels.The mol·wt·of the RNA fragment ranged from 0.34×10~6 to 2.55× 10~6D,and total was 15.15×10~6D.
