Study on Calibration Method of Planar Target for Rail Prof ile Measurement System

The planar target geometric calibration method based on laser line structural light was used to design rail profile measurement experiment.The camera shoots the planar target at different positions.One planar target image is shot when the laser is on,and another is shot when the laser is off.In the two images, laser lines and virtual target lines are cross at points.The laser plane position is calculated and the matrix relationship between laser and camera is determined by the point data.Control experiment with the nail column calibration method was made to compare with planar target calibration method. The results show that accuracy of rail profile measurement by the planar target calibration method is very good and has good practicability.The calibration device is easy to made. It provides the experimental basis for rail profile measurement.
