Technologic Economy Performance Study on Membrane Electrolysis in Treatment of Nickel-containing Wastewater

In this paper,the monoanionic membrane electrolysis method was used to deal with the nickel-containing wastewater.On the basis of theoretical analysis,the infective factors such as the pH value of electrolyte,the nickel ion consistency,electric current intensity were studied.The experiment result showed that when the pH value of the nickel-containing wastewater was 0.5~1.0,the average nickel ion consistency was 1 400 mg/L,the electric current was 150 mA,the voltage was 5 V,the electrolysis time was controlled between 20~24 h,the initial pH value of electrolyte was adjusted to 4,the nickel ion consistency was enriched to 14 000 mg/L by ion exchange method,the monoanionic membrane method's average current efficiency could reach 90.7% and average elimination rate of nickel was 88.7%.It's current efficiency was 30% higher than general electrochemical method and it could save more than 50% energy.
