IRON REARRANGEMENTS AND MICROPORE FORMATIONS DURING DEHYDRATION OF α-FeOOH

In the experimental x-ray powder diffraction patterns of the anhy- drous oxides(α-Fe_2O_3)formed by low temperature decomposition of the oxyhydroxides,there are two groups of distinct diffraction lines:one is comparatively sharp whist,another is very diffuse.For the former, line broadening effect is rrainly dependent on the rearrangement of the oxygen ions,and for the latter,the changes of the line broadening are related to the diffusion-rearrangement of the ferrics ions. By the studing of two line groups respectively,structure changes produced on heat-decompositing α-FeCCH and involved in crystalli- zation under various temperatures have been reinvestigated.
