Study on Tandem Rolling Schedule for Special Steel Large Bars

A system of special steel large bars rolling schedule was introduced in this paper. The system was designed and dedicated to analyzing the influences of scene production conditions and rolling process parameters on the deformation, temperature and rolling torque of special steel bar in the process of rolling. C and MFC module were used as coding tools to develop the source program and human-computer interaction system respectively. The practical rolling parameters of 20CrMnTi gear steel bar were calculated with the modeling system. Comparing the calculated value and the practical date, the results were that they have good agreement. The comparative results indicate that the system had good modeling accuracy on predicting the change of rolling temperature, rolling force, rolling torque and energy consumption of rolling piece in rolling process and was useful to provide reliable process parameters for studying the production technology and control of quality and organization of special steel bar.
