Conflict and Balance between Covert Coverage and Rights of Privacy

YANG Lin,SHEN Nan (College of Humanities and Social Sciences,Xi'an Jiaotong University,Xi'an 710049,China)
Though covert coverage hasn't been granted with the legal status,it is widely employed as one of the news coverage practices in China. On one hand,it serves to guarantee the embodiment of rights to know.On the other hand,it tends to cause violations of rights of privacy, leading to conflicts in succession. This paper attempts to seek for both legal and moral constraints to tackle the conflict and put forward an effective thinking and solution to consequently strike a balance between covert coverage and rights of privacy by analyzing the conflicts and studying the legal regulation in regard to them at home and abroad
