Influence of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium on Production and Qualify of Watermelon

This papar reported that nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in different ratio had certain effect on yield and quality of water melon under the trials designed in stochastic process with two factors at three levels.Supplying of appropviate amounts of phosphorus fertilizer could increase the yield obviously and improve the quality at some degree. The significant difference was remarkble checked by F—statistics. The Amounts of phosphorus fertilizer supplied was in positive correlation with the sugar content of water melon. The potassium fertilizer could manifestly decrease the acidity of》water melon, though it had less effect on yield increasing than phosphorus fertilizer. Amounts at potassium fertilizer supplied was in negative correlation with the acid content and in positive correlation with the sugar content of water melon.
