Propagation property of vector solitons in infinite nonlocal nonlinear thermal media

Variational approach was used to investigate the propagation property of vector solitons in infinite nonlocal non-linear thermal media. Firstly,the vector solitons were analyzed by variational approach with Gaussian-Gaussian beams as the input,the evolution equations which described the amplitude, beam width,phase and wave front curvature were achieved. And then the changes of beam width that could form the vector solitons were analyzed by potential function. Fi-nally,the results of variational calculations were conformed by numerical simulation. Several conclusions are obtained,for initial power P0= 2π,the Gaussian-Gaussian beams are good approximations of vector solitons,and for P0 2π,the beam width first compresses then broadens with period manner,while for P0 2π,the beam width first broadens then compresses with period manner.
