Synthesis,crystal structure,and fluorescence of a Zn(II)supramolecular complex with 5-(pyridin-2-yl)-3,3′-bi(1H-1,2,4-triazole)and benzene-1,2,4,5-tetracarboxylic acid

In the mononuclear compound [Zn(C9H7N7)(C10H4O8)(H2O)3]·3H2O,the central ZnIIion is coordinated by four oxygen donors from one dihydrogen benzene-1,2,4,5-tetracarboxylate(H2BTCA2-)plus three water molecules,and two nitrogen atoms from one 5-(pyridin-2-yl)-3,3′-bi(1H-1, 2,4-triazole)ligand(H2pbt). In this structure,multiple intramolecular and intermolecular O—H···O and N—H···O hydrogen bonds extend the mononuclear patterns to form a two-dimensional supramolecular arrangement. Furthermore, aromatic stacking interactions between the triazolyl and benzene rings as well as between the adjacent pyridyl groups are found. In addition,the solid-state photoluminescent property of the title complex is researched in the paper.
