Functional analysis on OsHox10,a member of HD-Zip Ⅲ family in rice

To explore the function of OsHox10,a member of HD-Zip Ⅲ family,in the development of rice,the overexpression vector of OsHox10 was constructed and the transgenic lines were produced,which can confirm the expression pattern and subcellular localization of OsHox10. Furthermore,the relationship of OsHox10 with plant hormones and drought resistance was studied. The phenotypic observation indicated that overexpression of OsHox10 could cause rice leaves shrink and curl to varying degrees,especially near the leaf sheath. The tissue-specificity of OsHox10 expression indicated that it was expressed in different organs,and the high expression mainly occured in the division cells such as in shoot apical meristem and young panicles. The subcellular localization results suggested that OsHox10 was localized in the cytoplasm or cell mem-brane. The expression of OsHox10 was investigated in the treatments of plant hormones and drought stress,which showed that the expression of OsHox10 was induced by hormones and drought stress. The results indicated that OsHox10 may be associated with hormone signaling and drought stress.
