Study on TVOC Emission from Waterborne Interior Wall Coatings by Environmental Test Chamber Method

The coating is one of the sources which might release TVOC( total volatile organic compound) and pollute the indoor air. Nowadays waterborne interior wall coatings is the development tend of the interior wall coating. The TVOC emissions of the waterborne interior wall coatings need to be investigated further,and the evaluating time point is also to be determined. In this paper,the major commercialized waterborne interior coatings have been tested and investigated in terms of the TVOC emission level. The TVOC emission performance of waterborne interior wall coatings comprising different film-forming agents has been studied.Different laboratories are used to study the relationship between TVOC emission and release time so as to determine the best evaluating time by the method of environmental test chamber.
