Development and application of a new single-adaptor tubing-conveyed perforation gun

The Puguang Gas Field is characterized by high pressure,high temperature and high content of H2S,and gas wells there commonly have great depth,high deviation angle and long perforation section.Traditional perforation guns can not meet the requirements of field operation,thus it is urgent to develop a new perforation gun.Based on absorbing the merits of traditional perforation guns and through strict selection of material,specification of gun body,design of bullet hanger structure and detonation sub,and optimization of detonation cord,a new single adapter tubing-conveyed perforation gun is successfully developed of bullet hanger tightened type.It is manufactured with TP110S steel and has an outer diameter of 114 mm,wall thickness of 11 mm,pressure resistance over 120 MPa,and temperature resistance over 140 ℃.Compared with traditional perforation guns,the new gun with strong stability also has a high resistance to H2S,temperature,pressure,tension and compression.And its stability gets strenghthened by the fastening structure of the gun carrier,which is almost at the same coaxial line with the gun body.It has been successfully applied in several gas wells in the Puguang Gas Field and the successful rate of perforation operation is 100%.The good consistency between the predicted and actual gas rates reveals that the design of the new perforation gun is rational and its performance is reliable.
