Measurement of Sulfureted Hydrogen Content in Natural Gas-Main Factor in Iodimetry Affecting Analysis Result

Huang Yunhong (PetroChina Southwest Oil & Gas Field Branch Natural Gas Research Institute,Chengdu,Sichuan,612131,China)
GBA/T1160.1—1998 “Measurement of Sulfureted Hydrogen Content in Natural Gas-Iodimetry” is a kind of authoritative chemical analysis method for determining hydrogen sulfide content in natural gas. This method is accurate and reliable, with wide measurement range. But in the lab, even in comparison analysis of determining content on the spot, the result is not as equal as usual. Expounded are details of compounding solution, sampling and titration operation to accord with precision requirements in national standards.
