A Simple Prediction Model for Hydrate Formation Conditions

During natural gas production and transportation,gas components,temperature,pressure and water content are main factors affecting hydrate formation. It is very important in natural gas industry to predict and control natural gas hydrate formation conditions. Based on energy conversation law and Vander Waals's mixture rule,natural gas hydrate formation conditions are predicted by using a simple thermodynamics model and analyzed are effects of such factors as temperature,pressure and sour gas on hydrate formation conditions. The results show that the model can predict hydrate formation conditions efficiently and may be applied in practical engineering design.
