Selection of Correlation Parameters of Friction Coefficient in Gas Pipeline Simulation

The friction factor is an important parameter in hydraulic calculation for pipeline simulation software. It is necessary to select the optimum friction calculation formula and parameters in order to improve simulation accuracy. Calculated are friction factors with different relative roughness and Reynolds numbers by programming and using such formulas as Weymouth,Pan(A),Pan(B),AGA,Colebrook and Nikuradse,obtained is the application scope of these formulas through accuracy comparison with standard atlas Moody,the application scope and accuracy of Colebrook are optimum,and the second one is AGA and others are applicable to different ranges. Practical application of the formulas in three pipelines shows that the recommended absolute roughness ofpipelines is from0.010 to0.015mm.
