Optimization of Energy Conservation Parameters in Natural Gas Purification Process

In gas purification process,desulfurization process has more energy consumption than dehydration. In order to reduce energy consumption and operation cost,established are an optimization model and an optimization method for gas desulfurization process. With the aid of the software Hysys,applied are the model and method to conduct simulation calculation and parameter optimization for the desulfurization process of 50×10 4 m 3 /d purification unit in Moxi gas purification plant of PetroChina Southwest Oil and Gas Field Company Chuanzhong Oil and Gas Well Area. After optimization,energyconsumption ofthe desulfurization process in the purification unit is 4842.78kW,12.35 % less than that before optimization while the purified gas quality is ensured,which shows that energy consumption is reduced largely and economic benefit is remarkable. The optimization model and method have good applicability and can be applied in process parameters optimization ofother process systems.
