The Tilt Determination Problem of Laser Guide Star in Adaptive Optics

The expression of the tilt corrected anisoplanatic variance of laser guide star in adaptive optics is derived from Zernike polynomials. By a criterion of tilt anisoplanatic variance 1 rad 2, the expression of tilt isoplanatic angle is derived, which coincide with the derived expression of Parenti and Sasiela. For a turbulence model measured at Kunming and a 0.6 m diameter aperture at a 0.5μm operating wavelength, the tilt anisoplanatic angle is 15.3μrad, and the isoplanatic angle θ 0 is 5μrad. The θ tilt is a factor of 2 larger than θ 0 under these conditions.
