Numerical Simulation of the Oxidation Inclusion during Filling Process of the Aluminum Alloy Casting Based on the InteCAST Software

The oxide film was abstracted into massless particles and Lagrangian equation was used to predict the motion of the oxide film segment.The volume equivalent of oxide film was used to characterize the degree of oxide film inclusions,and the empirical formula for the increase of oxide film thickness was proposed based on Campbell's empirical data.Based on the above algorithm,a numerical simulation method was developed to predict the location and size of oxide film inclusions on InteCAST software platform.The calculation results were compared with the experimental ones to verify the practicability of the algorithm.
