Electrical Properties of V_5O_(9+x)(x=0,1) and Cu_xV_5O_(9.1)

V_5O_(9+x) (x=0,1)sample has been prepared by solid state reaction method.Thisproduct is a multicomponent mixture in which the main component belongs to themonoclinic system,whose cell parameters vary with changing x value.The electricalconductivity at room temperature reaches 10~0-10~(-2)(Ω·cm)~(-1) order,all of which iselectronic conductivity.Electrochemical method has been used to prepare Cu_xV_5O_(9-1') which is a mixedconductor and the total conductivity reaches 10~(-1) (Ω·cm)~(-1) order at room tempera-ture.The possible structural and conductive mechanisms are discussed.
