Preparation of TiO_2 UFP by Laser-induced Vapour-phase Pyrolysis

With Ti(i-OC_3H_7)4/O_2 as original materials and C_2H_4 as sensitizer,ultra-fine particlesof TiO_2 have been synthesized by a CW CO_2 laser-induced vapour-phase pyrolysis in thecontinual flowing reactor.Characterizations of the particles have been shown from titaniumcontent analysis,IR spectrum,XRD,TG/DTA and TEM.As-produced powders have thecharacters of single dispersional,spherical particles and unhealthy crystallinity,with size rangeof 0.006~0.2μm after calcination at lower temperature,the characters of the powders maintainunchanged,crystallite is principally rutile,but with some anatase.
