The Study of the transparent Glass Ceramics Containing Cr ̄(3+)

This paper reports that in the K2O-Al2O3-B2O3-SiO2 system the transparent glass ceramics, containing Cr2O3 by 0.1 and 0.2 wt% respectively, were produced under certain heat treatment. The phase crystallized from the glass is mullite (3AL2O3·2SiO2). It also shows the results of DTA, IR, XRD, SEM,Absorption Spectra, and Excitation Spectra.
