Recent Development of the Common Core State Standards

In June 2010,The USA released first state-led education standards theCommon Core State Standards which have been adopted by 44 states.Then Publishers' Cri-teria for the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics were released as the importantreferences to compile and publish math textbooks.The federal government gave A $360 mil-lion investment to the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium and the Partnership for As-sessment of Readiness for College and Careers to provide online testing services.The statesare now updating the networks and computers to meet those tests,beginning in 2014-15.And College Entrance Exam SAT will reform to reflect the contents of the new standards in2006. Besides,each state is strengthening teacher training and exploring reading across cur-riculum as well in the implementation of the standards. Facing the great education reform,some people support it while others oppose it,but the biggest problem is funds shortage.
