The Critical Method in Comparative Education Research:an Inquiry of Return to The Critical Spirit

Criticism has connotations of review,reflection,transcendence and innova-tion. It is the essential spirit of educational research. As to comparative education,it is gen-erated with the critical spirit. Especially critical methods in comparative education re-search,which has been paying attention by the comparative education researchers. Criticalmethod factions of comparative education research mainly include:Problem analysis frame-work of comparative education research and problem solving method which build on thethought of"critical dualism";criticism combined with ethnography which formed criticalethnography method of comparative education;criticism combined with hermeneutics whichformed critical hermeneutics method of comparative education. Exploring and making an in-terpretation of the critical methods of comparative education research which are aimed atlooking forward to the return of the critical spirit in comparative education.
