Bathymetry Prediction from GGM Method with Terrain Reductions

This paper studies the GGM bathymetry inversion method which taking into account the terrain correction of the sea floor undulation.Using this method,a regional 1′×1′ bathymetry model around the Rodriguez triple junction in Indian Ocean were calculated.The calculate process were illustrated and the results were proved.At the same time,a 4°×4°regional bathymetry model were calculated in South China Sea.Compared with the vessel data that measured in the studied area,the bathymetry model inversed with the GGM method is better than ETOPO1 model,and the new method improved the inversion result slightly in South China Sea.
