Preparation and Properties of Graphene/Ag@TiO_2 Modified Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

A dye-sensitized solar cell(DSSC)modified by graphene and Ag@TiO_2nanoparticles(NPs)was prepared by hydrothermal method.The impact of graphene and Ag@TiO_(2 )NPs on the performance of photoanode and DSSC was investigated.The experimental results reveal that the performance of DSSC is improved by incorporating graphene and Ag@TiO_(2 )NPs.When the content of Ag@TiO_(2 )NPs reaches 0.6%(mass fraction),the DSSC achieves the best performance with photoelectric conversion efficiency(PCE)of 5.84%,20%higher than that of the DSSC based on pure TiO_2photoanode.The result indicates that the improved property of the DSSC with graphene and Ag@TiO_2NPs can be attributed to two reasons:one is that the incorporation of Ag@TiO_2NPs enhances the light absorption of the dye;another is that the graphene improves dye adsorption amount,carrier mobility and carrier life,thus the joint action results in the great enhancement in the short-circuit photocurrent density(J_(sc))and the PCE of the DSSC.
