Research progress in lithium extraction from salt lake brine by nanofiltration membrane separation technology

China′ s Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is rich in salt lake lithium resources.However,the mass concentration ratio of magnesium to lithium in the salt lake brine is too high to restrict the industrialization process of lithium extraction.The nanofiltration membrane has excellent performance of intercepting bivalent and multivalent ions,so it can be applied in separation of magnesium and lithium in brine.Therefore,the status of lithium extraction from salt lake brine and its industrialization situation in China were summarized.And,the research progress of nanofiltration membrane separation in lithium extraction from salt lake brine was reviewed in detail.At last,the development direction and prospect of the application of nanofiltration in lithium extraction from salt lake brine were put forward.
