Progress in evaporation of high-salinity wastewater from coal chemical industry

As the Zero Discharge for the coal chemical industrial wastewater has become the trend of the stricter demands of Green Industry gradually,high-salinity wastewater treatment is considered as the highlight.In comparison to technologies of biochemical treatment,ion exchange resin separation,and membrane separation including ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis,the evaporation process which is mature and widely applied is more suitable to extract large amount of recycle water from hypersaline organic wastewater.Moreover,the advantages and disadvantages as well as the applications of natural evaporation method,multi-effect distillation,mechanical vapor recompression,multiple-effect flash,and membrane distillation were analyzed and compared.Ultimately,some suggestions and ideas aiming at solving certain problems in the high-salinity effluent treatment of coal chemical industry were put forward.
