Synthesis of nano-sized TiO_2 lithium ion battery anode material by ionic liquid

Nano-sized TiO_2 anode material had been prepared by using urea-choline chloride ionic liquid.The structure,morphology,and electrochemical performance of the prepared samples had been characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) analysis,electrochemical impedance spectra(EIS),and galvanostatic charge/discharge testing.Results showed that the anatase TiO_2 that prepared at 80 ℃ had a minimum particle size,maximum surface area of 52.1 m~2/g,and pore size of 11.6 nm.The prepared TiO_2 delivered an initial discharge capacity of about 213.8 m A·h/g and its capacity retention was about 89% after 50 cycles at 0.5C.
