Study on preparation of nano-Fe_3O_4 via microwave-assisted oxidative co-precipitation from pickling waste liquor

A process of microwave-assisted oxidative co-precipitation method was established to synthesize Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles,in which steel pickling waste liquor was treated and used as raw materials and carbide slag as the neutralizing agent and precipitating agent.The iron content was up to 58% calculated in dry base.The parameters,including microwave irradiation approaches,microwave radiation time,microwave radiation power,initial p H of synthesis,addition of carbide slag and impurities of carbide slag etc.,and optimization were studied in details.The as-prepared products were characterized by the analysis of X-ray diffraction(XRD),vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM)and scanning electron microscope(SEM) respectively.The results showed that the two industrial waste mentioned above were treated and iron resources were recovered efficiently.
