Industrial application of molecular sieve refinement catalysts in aromatic unit

In the oil-refining No.5 department of Sinopec Zhenhai Oil Refining Chemical Branch Company,the activated clay in the unit R401 is employed to remove the trace amount of olefin from the aromatic hydrocarbons,the replacement cycle of which is 10~20 d.Frequent replacement of activated clay leads to intense operation pressure and the huge emission of solid waste.In order to unload the environment and equipments,Sinopec Zhenhai Oil Refining Chemical Branch Company decided to replace activated clay with TCDTO-1 zeolite refinement catalyst(CXR-1),developed by Cener Tech Tianjin Chemical Research and Design Institute Co,Ltd.,in December 2014.TCDTO-1 zeolite refinement catalyst has run 2 cycles until now.The results indicated that TCDTO-1 refinement catalyst had an outstanding catalytic performance of de-olefins without any influences on the components of raw materials.The lifetime of fresh TCDTO-1 refinement catalyst was as 12 times higher as that of activated clays.The lifetime of regenerated TCDTO-1 refinement catalyst was as 14 times higher as that of activated clays.The application of TCDTO-1 zeolite refinement catalyst eased the problems of intense labor loading of replacing catalyst,high safety risk and contamination of solid waste brought by activated clay.
