Measuring the linear expansion coefficient of metal with combination method

AN Kui-sheng1, ZHANG Juan1, GUO Jing-jie2(1. College of Physics, Northeast Normal University, Changchun 130024, China;2.Quzhou Experimental School, Quzhou 324000, China)
A method of measuring the linear expansion coefficient of metal is introduced, in which the temperature is recorded in real time with copper-constantan thermocouple instead of thermometer and the length of the metal bar is measured using reading telescope. After least square linear fitting, the linear expansion coefficient is obtained.
