Research on the Franck-Hertz experiment

The sensitive range of controlling voltage of Franck-Hertz apparatus is measured, the ionization curves are measured using three kinds of circuit. The relationship between plate electrode current and controlling voltage is observed, and this is helpful to explain the increase in combination probability of electon and ion around the second grid-electrode at high reflector voltage. When the two grid-electrodes are "floating",the unstability of plate electrode current is measured to indicate the random diffusion of electrons and ions and the existence of voltage noise.
