Research on diffuse series of sodium atomic spectrum

The characteristics of the diffuse series of sodium atomic spectrum were comprehensively studied on the basis of accurate measurement of the wave number,wave number difference,fixed items,quantum defect,and the intensity ratio of the dual-structured diffuse series.The fixed items and quantum defect were calculated using Excel software;the calculation procedure was greatly simplified.The study of the diffuse series of sodium atomic spectrum could enhance the students' understanding of the diffuse series and enable them to study and research the other series using the same method.
