Nonlinear refractive index of quantum dots investigated by Z scan technique

The principle of Zscan technique was described,and the transmittance of PbS of different doping levels was extensively investigated by Zscan technique which was carried out using 800 nm femtosecond laser excitation.Close and open apertures Zscan data of the samples were measured.The third-order nonlinear optical refractive index of PbS was deduced.It was interesting that the value of nonlinear refractive index increased with the doping levels of the quantum dots.
