The Testing Researches on Photocatlytic Decomposition of Tetracycline Aqueous Solution with UV-light in Powered Semiconductor Photocatalyst

It introduces briefly the mechanism on photocatalytic decomposition of nondegradable and refractory organic pollutants and reports the testing researches on using powered semiconductors TiO2 and ZnO as photocatalysts to decompose the tetracycline aqueous solution with UV- light. The results show that the effet of photocatalytic decomposition of tetracycline with TiO2 is better than that with ZnO ; in addition, the results also indicate that hydrogen peroide(H2O2)can accelerate decomposition of tetracycline as the assisted oxidation reagent to match the photocatalyst TiOt, In a word, these test are useful for profound research and design of photocatalysts and photocatalytic reactor with solar energy.
