P+PR algorithm for multireach canal systems

WANG Chang_de, LIU Shu_piao, CUI Yu_yan, WANG Shui_lin (School of Water Resources and Hydropower, Wuhan University, Wuhan 430072, China)  
By using the P+PR algorithm and the technique of synchronous gate operation, a mathematical model of multireach canal systems in the mode of constant water_volume control was developed; and it was programmed to simulate the control process. The stability, response time, overshoots and steady_state errors of the systems are analyzed; and the result indicates the feasibility of the model.
