Simulation of seepage flow at Xujiagou ash dump of Shouyangshan Power Plant

A three dimensional mathematical model of seepage flow is established based on the background of ash dump of Shouyangshan Power Plant. The numerical results by finite element method are in good agreement with the observation ones, which show that the suggested model is useful for researching practical problems. Then the characteristics of the seepage flow associated with the heightening of the ash dam are studied in detail.
