Digitalization principle of Vickers hardness tester

XING Si_ming\+1, YUN Jian_ping\+2 (1.School of Power and Mechanical Engineering, Wuhan University, Wuhan 430072, China; 2.School of Electronic Information, Wuhan University, Wuhan 430072, China)  
With force transducer and displacement transducer automatically measuring the test load and the depth of diamond pyramid pressed mark respectively, the data are displayed to control the test processing and assure effectiveness of the testing. As soon as unloaded, the depth of the remainder pressed mark is measured on line by the displacement transducer automatically. Furthermore, the calculation of Vickers hardness number and its output are carried out automatically so as to ensure the testing results are obtained on real_time. This is the most concise and effective way for Vickers hardness tester. Thus, not only it will be universally used in routine inspection of metal's hardness easily and quickly, but also be used to solve the technical problem that put the unitary scale of hardness into practice.
