Flow simulation of spur dike using 3-D turbulent model

A 3-D turbulent model was developed to simulate flow field around spur dike.In the model,the standard k-ε model and the wall function were adopted.Simulated results of velocity distribution,turbulent kinetic energy and its dissipation rate around a spur dike agree well with the experimental data.Moreover, computational result shows that the model developed can successfully simulate the separate structure of flow at the top of spur dike, circumfluence behind spur dike and secondary flow in the cross-section in the circumfluence area.
