Temperature simulation of RCC gravity dam during construction considering solar radiation

At present,the coocrete surface temperature increase caused by solar radiation has not been considered in determining the air temperature boundary condition of the temperature field in the concrete dams construction simulation.In this paper,the transient analysis type of FEM is applied to simulate layer-by-layer construction process to compute the temperature that solar radiation is taken in account or not.By comparing the real values and computing results,it shows the results considering the influence of solar radiation on temperature approach the real values;so this influence is very remarkable.If the influence of solar radiation is ignored,the temperature field results will lower the real values.
