Test of deformation parameters of soft soils in Panjin area

The deformation modulus of foundation soil is determined via the screw plate load test,so as to establish the relationship between deformation modulus and compression modulus.The effects of soil depth on compression modulus and deformation modulus are analyzed;and it is shown that the compression modulus and deformation modulus are increased with the increase of soil depth.Meanwhile,the effect of loading plate area on deformation modulus is analyzed;and it is shown that the deformation modulus is varied with the width of loading plate and loading value.Finally,the nonlinear analysis of equivalent deformation modulus is made;and four parameters are obtained so as to offer a basis for investigation works in Panjin area.
