Study of force resistance of floor beams in high-strength cold-formed thin-walled steel housing system

On the base of tests,the finite element method(FEM) has been used to study the force resistance of floor beams in the new thin-walled steel housing system.A group of floor beams have been carried loading test to obtain the ultimate bearing capacity;then finite element model of floor beams,using plastic shell element in ANSYS and simultaneously considering material and geometric nonlinearity,has been established to analyze bearing behavior.Finally,an approximation formula of ultimate loads of floor beams is given for the various specifications of floor beams for practical engineering design.
