The latest development of low frequency vibrator for seismic

Tao Zhifei, Su Zhenhua, Zhao Yonglin and Ma Lei.  
The limitation of low frequency for Conventional vibrator is around 6Hz, the low frequency vibrator can sweep from 5Hz or lower. With longer wavelength its can penetrate high velocity layers, the bandwidth of the signal is key factor to improve resolution and S/N ratio of geological target. The vibrator is the unique source that can meet the requirement in future land seismic, and the low frequency vibrator became restrict factor for low frequency seismic currently. The research people solved serious knots for low frequency initiation, and realized 3Hz signal received in downhole sensors with KZ-28LF vibrator.
