Marine controlled-source electromagnetic exploration techniques and instruments

Recent years in the West marine oil and gas exploration, the marine controlled-source electromagnetic exploration techniques been included in the normal surveying procedures and required the deep target of marine controlled-source electromagnetic data evaluation pre-drilling in the deep target. In the annual EAGE and SEG annual meeting, papers,reports and related companies Pavilion relating to marine controlled-source electromagnetic exploration technology are always the focus of attention. This concern are mainly due to the following reasons: the newly developed marine controlled-source electromagnetic method can increase the offshore drilling success rate and significantly reduce the risk of drilling. The application in many famous foreign oil companies(such as ExxonMobil, Statoil and Shell) demonstrated the attractive prospect of marine electromagnetic methods attractive prospect. The marine electromagnetic methods avalue assessment in the commercial services from Morgan Stanley, Wall Street Journal and other authoritative economic institutions brougth more attention. This paper give us a comprehensive introduction about the marine controlled-source electromagnetic exploration and to table a proposal for accelerateing the development.
