Design and Software Analysis of Microstrip Rotman Lens

Using the two-dimensional far field theory, the paper analyzes the transmission mode of the electromagnetic wave in the lens cavity, and obtains various input port's amplitude and phase distribution feature at each output port, and verifies the optimized receive direction for the output ports.It also compares and analyzes differences of the amplitudes and phases between the practical test results and Planar EM and HFSS software simulation results, and shows the reliability of Planar EM software analyzing and simulating microstrip lens.
