Research on Passive Location Technology with Single Station Based on IFF Signals

Aiming at the characteristics of IFF responsive signal,one passive location technology with single station based on IFF signals is proposed.This technology uses 2-D long short baselines interferometer to estimate azimuth and pitching simultaneously,and decoding height information by identifying Mode C signal.The location model with single station is created,from which the location of air target is computed.The experiment results show that in the wide wave beam receiving conditions,it can discriminate multiple air targets arriving in the same time,and implement high-precision direction-finding and 3-D location and tracking.
