Zhang Gaoping;
Telling the story of Zhaojun, Story of Wang Zhaojun in Dunhuang manuscript is found more creative than following the others, compared with poems in the Tang and Song dynasties in terms of prototype and theme. Poems of Tang center on painting, beauty and tomb, while poems in Song stress on marriage to minority leader, pipa, Han people and minorities, all of which are not or less included in Story of Wang Zhaojun. It is new in describing the love of Xiongnu Chief, Zhaojun's homesickness and the feelings of Han dynasty. Love and affection are better portrayed in Ma Zhiyuan's Autumn In Han Palace: Zhaojun fell in ill because of homesickness and threw herself into the river. Story of Wang Zhaojun in Dunhuang manuscript is for telling and singing, more vivid than those in Tang and Song poems. The study on Dunhuang manuscript reveals the formation and development of store of Wang Zhaojun.
