Stability Analysis of Sheet-Piled Wharf Bank Slopes Under Water Level Changes

In view of the phenomenon of bank slope instability at sheet-piled wharfs,the wharf structure force-deformation law and the potential landslide failure mechanism under water level changes are analyzed by using the finite element method.The results indicate that: with the construction of the wharf,the safety factor of bank slopes is in an upward trend.Water level changes have an obvious impact on the stability of the original bank slope.The local buckling of the bank slope in front of the wall might occur after sheet-piled wharf construction.After basin excavation and rear backfill,the wharf structure reinforcement increases the stability of sheet-piled wharf bank slopes;the potential slope failure is that the rear soil and the upper sheet-piled wall might slide around the bottom of the sheet-piles and toward the free surface.
