The Analysis and Performance Parameter of Non-circulating Zn-Br Batery

The performance of a non-circulating Zn-Br battery is reported. The battery has two horizontal electrodes with the anode placed above the cathode. During discharge of 1.5A/dm2 or 5.2A after charging at 18A.h/dm2 or 62.4A.h, Coulomb efficiency, energy efficiency were 82% and 56% resp. The energy density of 42W.h/kg or 54 W.h/L and capaicty of 72W.h were obtained when discharging to 0 Voltage at 1.5A/dm2 or 5.2A.
